The PTA, joined by Principal Bennett, will be hosting a Community Meeting at Glenwood for current Glenwood families and staff to review what we know and what we don’t know about the school board’s discussion on potentially closing elementary schools in CHCCS. There will be a chance to brainstorm and share what our questions and worries are, what students need, what our staff needs, and what is special about Glenwood and our Dual Language and World Language programs. There will also be a chance for everyone who wants to speak (limited to 1-2 minutes to give everyone a chance).
We will gather the information generated to prepare a letter to the school board as well as talking points for parents to use when interacting with the school board at upcoming events. In addition, we will send out a follow up survey after the meeting to gather any additional feedback from families and staff unable to attend. Thank you all for your engagement, advocacy and love of our community. It truly is a wonderful community because of our amazing students, staff and families!
