2023-2024 Coordinator Positions: Our coordinator positions entail managing defined tasks. Some of these tasks are small and some are large; some tasks can be done solely from home while others require visits to school campus. Please consider taking on a volunteer role for our school.
Back to School Coordinator
Represent the PTA at back-to-school events: meet the teachers, open house and “Cheers and Tears”
Book Fair Coordinator
Run 1-2 book fairs per year
Community Events Coordinators
Run three community events per year (i.e. Bingo night.) Positions can be split.
Gator Gear Coordinator
Sell, order and distribute Gator Gear (i.e. t-shirts and sweatshirts.)
Gator Giving Coordinator
Advertise & collect “Gator Giving” fundraising money in Sept/Oct.
Glenwood Grounds Coordinator
Help make our outdoor grounds safe, functional, and beautiful
Glenwood Directory Coordinator
Put together the school directory in September.
Glenwood Night Out Coordinator
Partner monthly with restaurants for passive fundraising for Glenwood.
Mandarin Advisory Group
Take support to the next level.
Membership Coordinator
Enrich our growing community.
PTA Council Rep
Attend PTA Council meetings on behalf of Glenwood PTA.
Room Parent Coordinator
Be the liaison between Room Parents, the Glenwood PTA, and Glenwood staff.

Organize and run Staff Appreciation Week in Feb. Can have two coordinators.
Publicity / Communications Coordinator
Create, print, and distribute PTA flyers for Gator Communicator folders
PSF Rep Coordinator
Help recruit volunteers and encourage participation in the PSF 5K (in March) and PSF Breakfast and Roses (in April).
Snack Coordinator
Purchase and deliver snacks, with PTA funds, to school for students in need.
Staff Discretionary Fund Liaison
Communicate, track and help facilitate the reimbursement of staff discretionary funds.
Sunshine Group
Organize monthly, small ways to make our staff feel appreciated and happy.
Translator Coordinator
Work with volunteers to translate PTA information into other languages.
Website Coordinator
Update the PTA website.
Social Media Coordinator
Post PTA info on Facebook and WeChat.
SNAC (Special Needs Advisory Council) Rep
Help educate, communicate and advocate for students with needs.
Yearbook Coordinator
Create, sell, order, and help distribute the Glenwood yearbook.
Executive Board Positions: Our Executive Board meets monthly or bi-monthly to run the PTA, vote, and make decisions. This board includes our principal, our assistant principal, our staff representative, and the following elected positions:
President (Year 1 of 2): Attend monthly executive board meetings and run the PTA
Vice President (Year 1 of 2): Assist the PTA president in planning and executing PTA duties
Treasurer (Year 2 or 2): Attend monthly exec board meetings and run a balanced budget
Assistant Treasurer (Year 1 or 2): Assist the treasurer for your first year and be the treasurer for your second year
Secretary: Attend monthly meetings, take meeting minutes, send out bi-weekly newsletters
Exec Board Members at Large: Attend monthly executive board meetings and contribute opinions and ideas
Committees: Our committees are groups of PTA members, usually three, that advocate for, financially check, and ensure the continuation of the Glenwood PTA.
Audit Committee: Perform a monthly review of PTA bank statements and budget
Nominating Committee: Nominate and/or recruit PTA executive board members and volunteers
Advocacy Committee: Help inform the PTA about educational issues and NC PTA legislative issues
